All applicants need to pass the two-stage preliminary filter for
either of the e-mail introduction or presentation day options.
Stage 1: Business plan review
All applicants should forward a business plan for review. The plan
will be assessed by the GEIF Manager and at least one GEIF Director
- the applicant will then be advised as to whether their application
has been selected to pass to the second stage.
The business plan should contain the following information:
(1) Executive Summary
(2) Product and Services
(3) Markets
(4) Competition
(5) Strategy including exit route for investors
(6) Organisation and Operations
(7) Management team (please include CV's of senior management)
(8) Financial structure (P&L to date, balance sheets, details
of past funding)
Stage 1 is free of charge.
Stage 2: Preliminary meeting
Applicants passing the first stage will then be invited in for
a preliminary meeting with the GEIF Manager and one GEIF Director.
A decision will then be made as to whether the applicant is suitable
to be presented to the GEIF business angels.
