Sir Charles Chadwick-Healey has invested in 7 start-ups
since 1999.
"I invest to get a return - it's better than a bank or the stock
market. The product or service has to be meaningful and interesting
to me. It must address a wide range of markets and I want to know
how it is going to make money. The management of the company is
very important. If it's too dominated by the founder they might
put deadweights in marketing and sales. The management must be hungry.
If I lose my money I want them to lose everything.
Luck is what you need. You have to be brave to invest your own money
in other people's enterprises."
