The next cut is for the company to have a highly differentiated offering, which in practice means strong IP and know-how that will provide an entry barrier to others. The company must also be aiming for a market that we believe will be very significant in the future. Of course it goes without saying that the management team must be strong, though this is not always the case with early stage investing so we must believe in the potential for creating one.

These are the criteria that TTP Ventures looks for in order to make an investment, which leads me nicely into our first GEIF company, Voxit.

Brian Corbett presented Voxit at the GEIF in March and TTP Ventures invested alongside other business angels. Voxit was established in October 2000 to address the growing market for interactive voice access to the Internet. It has an intuitive vision to set the Internet free — the phone becomes a computer terminal that offers web based information "anywhere, anytime, anyhow". We believe that Voxit is at the forefront of a growing trend to provide innovative speech solutions for Internet applications. It will do this by delivering hosted services and applications that enable mobile users to retrieve a wide range of information from any phone using the power of speech.

TTP Ventures would like to thank the GEIF for providing such excellent investment opportunities and also to wish Voxit the best for the future.
