The first Summer School for Entrepreneurs was held in Cambridge in July. It was a highly successful, intensive programme covering the basics on how to set up a fast growth business. The course ran for six 12-hour days, during which business plans were developed, refined and then presented to an expert panel for input and guidance. The quality of the Summer School was reflected in the words of one delegate: "I have no doubt that if we can get the company off the ground with sufficient funding we will be successful. If we do so, this will be largely due to the focus and incentive provided by the Summer School. There can be no better measure of success than that." The next Summer School is scheduled for July 2000.
