FOOD SUPPLY COMPANY DEVELOPING GROUND-BREAKING CROP TECHNOLOGY
TO PRESENT AT GEIF INVESTMENT DAY - December 04
Early stage companies from the food supply, biotech, internet and
managed services sectors will be pitching funding proposals to business
angels at the next GEIF Investment Day being held at Homerton College,
Hills Road, Cambridge on Friday, 3 December.
Starting at 11.30, the event is aimed at facilitating and encouraging
the business angel community and introducing early-stage companies
seeking funding to potential investors. Presenting companies will
have the chance to outline their business propositions via 10-minute
elevator pitches, and then secondly engage in more in-depth discussion
with interested angels during three break-out sessions after lunch.
Andrea Blakesley, a Director of GEIF said, "December's Investment
Day offers another exciting opportunity for both investors and early
stage companies alike. Companies presenting include a ground-breaking
food supply company developing advancing crop technology for growers
of organic salads, vegetables and tree seedlings, a recruitment
management business offering the capture and distribution of video
clip and CV information of candidates via a web based interface,
a biopharmaceutical company developing a new treatment for psoriasis
and an internet business which has developed a platform to enable
the remote control and monitoring of security systems. We would
be delighted to hear from individuals with a serious interest in
early stage investment who would like to attend."
The event is being held on Friday, 3 December at Homerton College,
Hills Road, Cambridge and is open to individuals across the UK seeking
angel investment opportunities.
GEIF, part of the NW Brown Group, has worked with hundreds of early
stage companies seeking growth capital from its business angel members.
